History

netAdventist was developed by TAGnet, an ASI member and supporting ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist church. Philanthropists Tom and Vi Zapara played an integral part in helping TAGnet with the significant funding needed to develop netAdventist. TAGnet has gifted the netAdventist software platform, along with several companion applications to the General Conference. On October 16, 2007, delegates at the church's Annual Council voted to accept full ownership of the netAdventist software. On September 2, 2008 the Office of Global Software and Technology (OGST) at the General Conference took over management of netAdventist with the release of its 3.0 version. The Seventh-day Adventist Church has a perpetual license to use and modify the netAdventist software for its organizations and ministries.
